 My great friend Trish recently asked why I didn't have her favorites, meringue pies, on my menu. These cupcakes are for her, and your, meringue "fix!" You can choose from lemon, key lime, chocolate and coconut meringue cupcakes just in time for summer picnics and parties!  Tammy Sue's Cupcakes will be supporting the young singers with...you guessed it, cupcakes!!! The Austin Girls’ Choir (http://www.austin.girlschoir.com/) will host its annual Spring Tea on Sunday, April 25th, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Held at the elegant Caswell House in central Austin, the Tea features musical selections performed by the girls, with guest musicians playing background music in between the sets. They serve a full English Tea (with a few Texas twists). The Spring Tea is one of the major fund raising events for the choristers each year and directs funds to the Choir’s summer concert tour. In recent years, the girls have performed at cathedrals in England and France, and for the President in Washington D.C. Oh yeah. White chocolate morsels with strawberry cake and strawberry frosting.  Hi cupcake fans! Just wanted y'all to check out the events at unbridaled.com on Thursday, March 25 from 4-8pm. Tammy Sue's Cupcakes will be serving up some yummie cupcakes during the Unbridaled jewelry and accessories trunk show. This won't be just any trunk show since Unbridaled is the premiere "fashion forward" boutique for Austin weddings, is locally owned and operated, and is, as they say, "the cure for the uncommon bride!" Unbridaled is showcasing their fabulous featured jeweler, Stone Blessings (stoneblessings.com) and asked us to bring some treats to serve with their champagne. Ooh la la, we're there! I just love this bridal shop and the staff that works here. Manager Monica is really a great girl. Cupid thanks you and we thank you for the St. Valentine's Day cupcakes, pies and cookies ordered and enjoyed last weekend! Sweet! Yes, there are many out there who are not fans of Valentine's Day, saying it's a marketing invention designed to extract money from us. In my house, though, St. Valentine's Day, and the whole month of February really, has always been an opportunity to celebrate Love. Sure, Love is present all the time and doesn't need candy or cards to prove that it makes the world go round. But a little reaffirmation of how you feel about your honey never hurts: a cupcake or two, a dozen roses, or a fine dinner followed by a bubble bath with champagne. Why not make a fuss over the loved ones in your life? The years fly by, so why not show how you feel today? You'll be glad you did.
